The Local Mission Committee focuses on supporting charitable organizations on the Lower and Outer Cape, disbursing grants from the Virginia Cook Trust Fund, the Mildred Chamberlin Fund, and the Local Mission Outreach Fund.  The major beneficiaries are Habitat for Humanity, the Emmaus House, the Homeless Prevention Council, the Lower Cape Outreach Council, Cape Cod Children’s Place, Nauset Together We Can, Food for Kids, the Nan Cook Meeting House Preschool (housed in our church), food packages, and school supplies for needy children in local schools), Calmer Choice, Cape Cod AIDS Support, Cape Mediation, Lower Cape Lunch (LOCAL), and the Latham Centers of Brewster. 

 

We also contribute to:  Independence House, the Federal Church Prayer Shawl Ministry, CapeAbilities Farm, Orleans Fireman’s Relief, A Baby Center, and Faith Kitchen.
