Adult Ed.
The Adult Education Committee has a long history of providing programs and ministry in the life of the Federated Church. Current Adult Education activities include the Friday Morning Bible Study: For over 40 years, 20-25 people have come together on Friday mornings to study most books of the Bible as well as to discuss provocative books written about the lessons of the Bible.
Here are some of the many adult programs that have enhanced the ministry of this church and growth for many in our congregation:

-
We recommended that the church construct a Labyrinth. The Labyrinth, located in the rear of the parking lot, has provided an important ministry of the church by enabling prayerful and meditative programs and walks.
-
Church wide studies centered around major issues confronting the church and the Christian Community. We have used books that have helped in exploring issues that the church faces. This has included such books as “The Underground Church.”
- Mid-week book studies have been taught by a number of persons in the church including Professor Don Heinz who passed away in 2015.
-
A series of programs about The Mystics who have provided spiritual strength for millions over hundreds of years. This study was provided by Jane and Don Wick.
-
Provided programs using resources from the Taize Community. The Taize services enable people to enter into a time of prayer, meditation, using a style of music that enhances this experience.
-
We sponsored a major program by bringing John Bell from the Iona Community in Scotland, for an all-day event that helped in our practice of bringing the Spirituality of Jesus, into our everyday lives. This included singing music from different parts of the world.
We welcome one and all to these activities and encourage new ideas for future worthwhile programs we might initiate.
