Be the Church - upcoming worship

The worship and praise of God is central to our life together as community and for our personal spiritual enrichment. We worship using all our senses. Some of us experience God as we listen to the Word being read or proclaimed. Some of us experience God through the mystical moment of prayer. Some of experience God when we sing aloud the hymns and songs of our faith. Some of us experience God through any form of music. Some of us experience God visually through the beautiful display of our Flower Ministry. Some of us experience God when we offer the “peace of God” to each other. Some of experience God in all of the above!
I invite you to join for worship every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. And, as you know, thanks to the wonderful creative spirit of our Minister of Music, Glenn Starner-Tate, our worship always includes spiritually-rich and uplifting music. Here are some of the upcoming special worship services:
Sunday, April 8 Holy Communion
Sunday, April 15 The Rev. Dr. Margaret Bullit-Jonas preaching. Dr. Bullit-Jonas is the Mis-sioner for Creation Care for the MACUCC and the Episocpal Diocese for Western Massachusetts.
Sunday, April 22 An intergenerational worship for Earth Day. Lots of special music and scrip-tures and prayers celebrating the gift of God’s creation in our beautiful Earth. (possible beach clean-up or other creation project following worship)
Sunday, April 29 The Rev. Russ Allen preaching. (Sally is away for a family wedding)
Sunday, May 6 Holy Communion

Sunday, May 20 Pentecost! Intergenerational worship welcoming the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the church (read the story in Acts 2). Lots of special music. Wear red!

Sunday, June 17 Music Sunday! A feast and celebration of our wonderful music led by Minster of Music Glenn Starner-Tate, with the Chancel Choir, Thom Dutton, the Nauset Ringers, and guest musicians.

**Also – we are looking forward in May or June to a worship service in which we will celebrate 300th anniversary of the church building on this location in East Orleans. Stay tuned!
