Meeting House Preschool February update
As I write this newsletter, I do believe the groundhog was correct; six more weeks of winter. I am gazing at the white blanket that has coated once again the partially frozen ground, the trees, and the walkways. The preschool children, teachers, and I have been hibernating inside our little space for about six weeks only to emerge briefly on a bright day. We enjoyed that day and then we huddled back into our place once more until the white is gone.
We are excited about running around outside at the playground. The four walls were a bit constricting to all of us. We found our toys frozen in blocks of ice. Even ice was found under the sand, we couldn’t even dig.
During the month of March, the children will be creating a tropical jungle complete with hang-ing green vines and watercolor animals. They will discover many species of plants and animals. Around this time of year, many families begin to make plans for their children for the fall. We have already begun to conduct visits with families and their children to introduce them to our won-derful school. Please tell the young families you know about our preschool. Thank you.
An Old Irish Blessing: May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
As always this note is written with reflection and prayers for all.
Love and Peace, Maureen
