Ministering through Music

Thank you EVERYONE for all your participation in the musical activities during the Federated Church of Orleans’ Advent and Christmas Seasons.  Chancel Choir and “reinforcements,” guest musicians, Handbell Choir and Bonnie Brenner for her leadership as the Handbell Choir Director, concert audience and worship congregations – it was all very enjoyable.  Yes, developing ideas for next year are already on paper.

The Winter/Spring Season of our ministry has begun.  Mr. Thom Dutton, from Pilgrim Congregational Church in Harwichport, is now Interim Director of our Handbell Choir.  Rehearsals are continuing on Thursdays between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.  They’ll be playing in morning worship soon, as well as adding special touches to various aspects of the regular service from time to time.  Many thanks to our intrepid ringers and their consistent passion for this unique ministry.

The Chancel Choir welcomed another member at last night’s rehearsal and would LOVE the opportunity to do that again – several times.  Soprano?  Alto?  Tenor?  Bass?  LOVE to sing?  Easter is coming and rehearsals have begun for some very special musical adventures.  It’s a perfect time to add something “new” to your life.  Regular rehearsals are Wednesdays at 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Vestry.  Join us.  Our Director is a “facilitator”.

Come grow a new talent!
