“Survive and Thrive” for world hunger
The Justice Committee of The Federated Church and Am HaYam will again this year sponsor the Offering of Letters promoted by Bread for the World. This year’s theme is “Survive and Thrive,” advocating for the U.S. Congress to provide at least $230 million for international maternal and child nutrition programs.
Mother’s Day, May 8, is a very appropriate day for this effort. During coffee hour, all materials needed to write our Congresspersons, including a brief sample letter, will be provided. Please plan to take part at that time. Materials may be taken home, as well, or you may obtain them by emailing Rod MacDonald, email@example.com. All letters received at the church will be given as part of our offering on Sunday, May 15, before being placed in the mail.
Please help us support the well-being of mothers and children in developing countries.
